I remember back in grade 7, a Dietitian came to our class to talk to us about healthy eating. It quickly sparked an interest in me and I decided that day I wanted to a be Nutritionist when I grew up (well, that, or a paediatrician! hehe). Once I graduated from high school, I went off to Ryerson University to study nutrition. Long story short, after years of studying, I graduated with my Bachelor of Applied Science in Food and Nutrition (B.A.Sc.) but something was missing. I didn’t feel like I had the tools or know how to help people achieve health and prevent illness. Thankfully, soon after I graduated, I came across the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition (CSNN). When I reviewed their program, I realized that it was exactly what I was looking for all along – HOLISTIC nutrition – body, mind, and spirit. I enrolled immediately and the following year I graduated as a Registered Holistic Nutritionist (RHN).
Today, I am just as passionate to help individuals achieve health and wellness, as I was, sitting in that grade 7 classroom. I share my passion for health as a nutritional consultant guiding and supporting my clients one-on-one; in the classroom at CSNN, as a Certified Natural Nutrition Teacher, educating future Holistic Nutritionists; in my kitchen teaching kids (aka My Healthy Chefs) how to cook and prepare healthy meals; and at local schools/businesses educating and inspiring others to eat real, whole foods.
I love what I do!
