Are you interested in learning more about a specific area of nutrition or would you like more information on a particular health condition? Seminars & workshops are a fantastic way to gain knowledge about food and nutrition, and the role that healthy eating plays in improving illness.

Debora offers group/employee seminars and lunch ‘n learn-type style workshops. A team of healthy, happy employees will mean a productive and successful business, with a decrease in employee absences due to sick days and lower insurance costs needed to cover medical expenses. If you are an employer, you’ll want to help your team gain the knowledge needed to achieve a healthy, balanced lifestyle! Are your friends and family also interested in learning about nutrition? Ask about seminars/workshops for small groups held in your own home (max. 4 participants). Seminars are about 1-2 hours in length. Note: Seminars & workshops are only available in and around York & Peel Region.

How would you love to finally feel good in your body? Day in and day out, I hear complaints from clients ranging from fatigue to bloating and weight gain to just feeling plain crappy. They aren’t happy with how they look or feel and need to make a change. This is why I’ve created this program for YOU! It’s so that you can start feeling amazing!

A Meal in a Glass: Smoothie Making Workshop

Do you love smoothies? Do you want to learn how to make smoothies that are both healthy and delicious? Than this workshop is for you! Come out for a casual evening of hands-on fun where I will teach you how to make 3 new smoothie recipes that you (and your body) will love. In this workshop, you will learn how smoothies can boost energy levels, increase nutrient intake, help you lose weight and much more. I will also teach you about important ingredients that are essential for good health and various superfoods that can help with common symptoms from migraines to PMS. Participants will get to taste-test all smoothies and will get a copy of recipes to take home, plus nutrition information on all ingredients used.

How stressed are your employees? If not handled properly, stress can interfere with one’s health, thereby resulting in decreased productivity, increased absences and overall lowered job satisfaction. This seminar will provide information on better ways of managing everyday stress through nutrition and lifestyle changes. Instructional material will be provided for each participant.

Are you overwhelmed with all of the health and diet information out there? Are you confused about what is healthy and what isn’t? If you are ready to look and feel better but don’t know where to start this workshop is for you! This 2-part series will teach you how to apply the basic principles of natural nutrition to your diet, so that you can be on your way to better health and wellness. In this series, you will learn all about what good carbohydrates, fats, and proteins can do for you. You will gain knowledge on how to improve digestion, so that you can reap the full benefits of a healthy diet. You will also learn about various food combinations that enhance nutrient absorption and understand why proper hydration is crucial for optimal health. As well, you will learn about additives and preservatives that are used in packaged foods and the health concerns with them. You will become a pro at reading nutrition labels and ingredient lists; and will never be fooled by false health claims again!

Type-2 Diabetes used to be a concern for individuals over the age of 40. Nowadays, this increasingly common condition is showing up in adolescence. This seminar will teach you how these conditions develop, and what the real culprit to high cholesterol/hypertension is. Find out what to eat and what to avoid when you suffer from either condition, and what lifestyle factors can improve or worsen hypertension/high cholesterol.


Other topics include: weight management, mental health and mood disorders, joint pain and inflammation, female issues (PMS, menopause, etc.), and many more.
